The French Teacher

Parisian-born Catherine Pinchetti, a graduate from Ecole Nationale des Chartes a French “Grande Ecole” for historians, has been building up a long and rich experience of teaching French as a foreign language, in the United States, in France and in Cambridge.

As a native French teacher, she has taught in prep schools, universities, Alliances Françaises and Chambers of Commerce. Her writing goes hand in hand with her French tuition: she regularly publishes articles in Bien-Dire, a French magazine for learners of French, Go!English, its counterpart for learners of English, and similar magazines in Germany.

Actively involved in British/French exchanges, she is a committee member (and former chairman) of the Shelford Twinning Association (with Verneuil-en-Halatte, Oise, France). When not in Cambridge, Catherine’s French home base is near Fontainebleau, just south of Paris.

Students of all ages and levels can come to us at any time of the year and for whatever length of time to become or remain functional in French through carefully tailored/monitored French tuition lessons.

Your French teacher will work within an internationally recognised framework for French as a foreign language building confidence and providing maximum exposure to the contemporary French life and way of thinking.

Our French tuition is available to individuals, one to one or small groups, in the pleasant atmosphere of our Shelford (near Cambridge) premises, and to companies on-site.
