The French Teacher
Parisian-born Catherine Pinchetti, a graduate from Ecole Nationale des Chartes a French “Grande Ecole” for historians, has been building up a long and rich experience of teaching French as a foreign language, in the United States, in France and in Cambridge.
As a native French teacher, she has taught in prep schools, universities, Alliances Françaises and Chambers of Commerce. Her writing goes hand in hand with her French tuition: she regularly publishes articles in Bien-Dire, a French magazine for learners of French, Go!English, its counterpart for learners of English, and similar magazines in Germany.
Actively involved in British/French exchanges, she is the chairman of the Shelford Twinning Association (twinning with Verneuil-en-Halatte, Oise, France). When not in Cambridge, Catherine’s French home base is near Fontainebleau, just south of Paris.
